Cyprus-Greece ferry service to resume with new vessel in 2026
The passenger ferry service between Cyprus and Greece will operate for the 2026 season using the Italian-flagged vessel AF Marina, replacing the previous ferry Daleela. Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanoli announced that the service will run 22 return trips between Limassol and Piraeus. The first sailing is scheduled for May 29, and the final voyage will conclude on September 1. Ticket sales will open on April 22 through the operator Scandro Holdings Ltd. Fares remain unchanged from the previous year, as fuel was secured prior to recent global market price fluctuations. The 168-meter vessel, built in 1994, accommodates up to 394 passengers and 290 vehicles. Upgrades include cabins with private bathrooms, Wi-Fi access, and a policy change allowing pets to stay in designated cabins rather than kennels. The ship also features a restaurant, café, medical room, casino, and allows the transport of electric and hybrid vehicles.
