Cyprus-Greece ferry service returns for summer season with new vessel
The Cyprus-Greece maritime passenger service will resume for the summer season using the Italian-flagged ferry AF Marina, replacing the vessel Daleela. Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanoli announced that the service, operated by Scandro Holdings Ltd, will include 22 round trips. The first departure is scheduled from the Port of Limassol on May 29, with the final return from Piraeus set for September 1. Ticket sales and reservations will officially open on April 22. The new vessel offers increased capacity for up to 394 passengers and 290 vehicles, along with upgraded cabin amenities such as private bathrooms. The operator confirmed that ticket prices will remain unchanged as fuel costs were secured before recent price increases. The project is intended to bolster tourism and connectivity between Cyprus and continental Europe.
