APOEL fan crowdfunding campaign exceeds 400,000 euros
The football club APOEL has successfully surpassed the 400,000 euro mark in its ongoing crowdfunding campaign aimed at financial recovery. As of April 16, 2026, the club reported a total of 3,495 individual contributions. Recent donations include 800 euros from the Nicosia branch of the Democratic Rally (DISY) party and 2,660 euros from organized fans in the Kokkinotrimithia region. Despite the influx of funds, club officials acknowledge that these efforts, while significant, are insufficient to fully address the company's substantial debt. Consequently, the board is actively pursuing new investors to secure long-term financial stability and restore the team's competitive standing. Discussions regarding potential investment opportunities are currently ongoing as part of the strategy for the team's future.
