Fatal motorcycle crash in Hatfield investigation

On Wednesday, 1 April, at 3:12 pm, a fatal collision occurred on South Way in Hatfield at the junction with Bishops Rise. The incident involved a white Yamaha motorcycle and a black Lexus, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man of Cypriot origin in his 30s. Emergency services, including police, ambulance, and fire crews, attended the scene and implemented road closures. A 50-year-old man from Pinner was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and subsequently released on bail. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is currently handling the inquiry. Officer Neil Crosier has appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage to help determine the circumstances of the crash.
