Investigation continues following the death of 19-year-old in Kefalonia
Three individuals have been arrested and charged with intentional homicide following the death of 19-year-old Myrto in Argostoli, Kefalonia, on April 14. Forensic reports indicate the cause of death was cardiac arrest induced by cocaine use at a hotel room. Authorities are investigating evidence, including bloodstains found in the hotel room and a mobile phone hidden by one of the suspects. CCTV footage shows the suspects moving the victim to a public square instead of seeking immediate medical help. While the victim's family alleges she was lured into a trap related to prostitution, investigators are also probing a 04:00 video call involving a 66-year-old man. The victim's family, including her parents and sister, have publicly expressed their grief and demanded justice. The funeral is scheduled for Friday, April 17, in Argostoli.
