Death of a 19-year-old woman in Kefalonia under investigation
A 19-year-old woman was found unconscious on the main square of Argostoli, Kefalonia, early Tuesday morning and was later pronounced dead at the local hospital. Police investigations revealed that the victim had been at a hotel with three men, aged 23, 26, and 22, prior to the incident. Authorities suspect the use of cocaine occurred in the room, after which the men allegedly transported the unconscious victim to the square and abandoned her. Surveillance footage from the hotel shows the men carrying the woman. The three suspects, one of whom is a former weightlifting champion, have been arrested and face charges of exposure to danger. No external injuries were noted during initial medical examinations. The victim's body has been transferred to Patras for an autopsy and toxicological testing. The case remains under investigation by the local authorities.
