Recent attacks and robberies targeting food delivery drivers in Limassol

Police in Limassol are investigating two separate incidents involving food delivery drivers. On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, a 24-year-old delivery driver reported that 3 to 4 individuals in dark clothing approached him aggressively at a delivery location lacking street lighting. The victim abandoned his electric bicycle and mobile phone to escape on foot without suffering physical injuries. Separately, in the early hours of Thursday, April 16, 2026, a 26-year-old delivery driver was targeted by three suspects on a scooter at the junction of Paphos and Spyrou Kyprianou streets. These attackers, described as approximately 1.70 meters tall, hooded and gloved, assaulted the driver and stole cash from his wallet. The 26-year-old driver was not injured during the encounter. Authorities are currently investigating both cases to locate the suspects.
