Cyprus hotel occupancy rates reach 25-45 percent during Easter period

During the Easter period, hotel occupancy rates in Cyprus ranged between 25% and 45%, according to Christos Angelidis, General Manager of the Cyprus Hotels Association (PASYXE). Angelidis stated that these figures were slightly below seasonal norms as many Cypriots chose to travel abroad or stay with family. Most hotels have already opened for the season, with the remainder expected to be fully operational by April 20. Regarding the summer outlook, Angelidis noted that booking momentum has not significantly improved over the last five weeks. Cancellations continue to persist, and there are currently no clear signs of a strong recovery in reservations following six weeks of regional conflict. The association continues to monitor the situation, hoping for an increase in bookings to offset the ongoing rate of cancellations.
