Olympiacos FC expresses renewed interest in Flamengo defender Leo Pereira

As of April 2026, Olympiacos FC remains interested in signing 30-year-old Brazilian central defender Leo Pereira from Flamengo. The Greek club previously inquired about the player in December 2025 but did not submit an official bid. Pereira has played nearly 300 matches for Flamengo and has recorded 17 appearances with two goals in the current season. Brazilian reports indicate that Olympiacos faces competition from Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Al Qadsiah. While his release clause is set at 60 million euros, the player's market value is estimated to be between 9 and 10 million euros. His current contract with Flamengo expires in 2027. Olympiacos is also monitoring Italian defender Lorenzo Pirola as an alternative option. Club officials believe that current Olympiacos player Rodinei, a former teammate of Pereira, could potentially assist in facilitating negotiations.
