Thirteen-year-old injured in electric scooter accident in Aradippou

At approximately 11:50 a.m. today, a 13-year-old boy was involved in an accident while riding an electric scooter in Aradippou. The boy was traveling toward the livestock area of Livadia when he lost control of the vehicle and fell onto the road. He was initially transported by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently transferred to the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, where he is currently being treated in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Medical personnel report that he sustained an occipital skull fracture, a subdural hematoma, a subarachnoid hemorrhage, and various abrasions. His condition is currently considered serious. The Aradippou Police Station is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
