Minors injured by firecrackers in Larnaca and Paphos

Police in Larnaca are investigating two separate incidents involving minors injured by firecrackers. At approximately 9:40 a.m., a 14-year-old sustained superficial injuries to a finger and his eye. A second incident occurred around 12:00 p.m. in the Larnaca district, where a 17-year-old suffered burns to his right hand while attempting to ignite unexploded factory firecrackers found near a church bonfire. Both minors were treated at Larnaca General Hospital and subsequently discharged. Additionally, a separate incident was reported in Kissonerga, Paphos, where a young boy aged between 6 and 8 years old sustained a hand injury following a firecracker explosion near a traditional Easter bonfire around 10:00 p.m. He was transported to the Paphos General Hospital for emergency medical evaluation. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding these events. All victims received medical assistance and are out of immediate danger.
