Sentebale charity files legal action against Prince Harry
The charity Sentebale, which supports youth living with HIV in Botswana and Lesotho, has filed a lawsuit against Prince Harry in the London High Court. The legal action, initiated last month, concerns allegations of libel or slander. Prince Harry and board member Mark Dyer are named in the filing. Tensions within the organization emerged in 2023 over fundraising strategy and the leadership of chairwoman Sophie Chandauka. In March 2025, Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho resigned as patrons, citing an irreparable relationship with the board. Chandauka has alleged that Harry orchestrated a campaign of intimidation to force her resignation. The Charity Commission for England and Wales investigated the matter, criticizing both sides for damaging the organization's reputation, but found no evidence to support some of the specific claims. Specific details of the current lawsuit remain sealed in court records.
