Critical condition for 23-year-old after Paphos car accident

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, a 23-year-old woman was involved in a serious road accident on the Limassol-Paphos motorway near the Konia area. The driver lost control of her vehicle, which collided with safety barriers and subsequently overturned, falling into a 5-meter-deep ravine. Personnel from the Fire Service utilized hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate the woman from the wreckage in an operation supported by ambulance services. The victim was transported to Paphos General Hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery for multiple injuries. She is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit, and doctors report her condition as critical. The Paphos Traffic Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision. Additionally, in a separate incident, an elderly couple safely escaped their burning vehicle on the road between Ayia Varvara and Kampos tis Tsakistras in Paphos province, sustaining no injuries.
