Two separate fire incidents reported in Limassol

On the night between Friday and Saturday, a vehicle belonging to a 24-year-old man in Limassol caught fire while parked outside his home. The Fire Service extinguished the blaze, which caused minor damage. Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the incident as a suspected malicious act. Separately, at 01:22 on the same weekend, firefighters responded to a fire at an abandoned house in Limassol. Fire service spokesperson Andreas Kettis stated that the fire originated from trash being burned inside the structure by unknown individuals. The blaze spread to the roof, causing a partial collapse and requiring structural dismantling for full extinguishment. Two fire engines were deployed to manage the situation at the abandoned property.
