Intelligence firm Black Cube linked to controversial video targeting the President

A report by the newspaper Politis claims that the intelligence firm Black Cube is responsible for producing a video posted on January 8 on the X platform under the name 'Emily Thompson'. The company, which specializes in intelligence gathering, allegedly recorded political and business figures by using individuals posing as investors. Black Cube has agreed to hand over approximately 30 hours of recorded material to the authorities conducting the ongoing investigation. While the company stated it was hired by a private firm rather than a state entity, it has refused to disclose the identity of its client. Investigators involved in the case reported that the primary target of the operation was the President of the Republic. The original video contained allegations of systemic corruption and illegal funding within the Presidential Palace. The government has characterized the release of this footage as an act of hybrid warfare. A criminal investigator has been granted a two-month extension to continue probing the case.
