Central Bank of Cyprus reports data on dishonored checks for March and Q1 2026

The Central Bank of Cyprus released data on Wednesday regarding dishonored checks for March 2026. In March, 18 dishonored checks totaling 47,773 euros were recorded, involving seven legal entities and four natural persons. Additionally, 15 individuals and entities were added to the Central Information Registry (CIR) in March, including six legal entities, two natural persons, and seven natural persons controlling legal entities. For the first quarter of 2026, 43 dishonored checks were issued, amounting to 142,324 euros, compared to 61 checks worth 156,564 euros in the first quarter of 2025. Furthermore, 32 individuals and entities were registered in the CIR during the first quarter of 2026. This figure includes 14 legal entities, three natural persons, and 15 natural persons controlling legal entities. In contrast, 24 individuals and entities were registered in the CIR during the same period in 2025.
