Twenty-year-old arrested for July 2025 robbery in Larnaca

On the afternoon of the current investigation, police in Larnaca arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a robbery that took place in July 2025. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on July 10 at Finikoudes Beach, where two 52-year-old men were approached by a group of youths. The suspects reportedly used force to steal a bag belonging to one of the victims. The stolen bag contained the victim's mobile phone, identification card, bank cards, and an undisclosed amount of cash. Authorities issued a judicial arrest warrant for the 20-year-old after evidence emerged linking him to the crime. He is currently being held in custody while the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) continues its examination of the case. While some initial media reports mentioned a minor being arrested in connection with the same event, the official police report identifies the suspect as a 20-year-old.
