Police in Nicosia and Larnaca report two separate robbery arrests
In Nicosia, a 37-year-old man was arrested following a robbery at a pharmacy that occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. yesterday. The suspect allegedly threatened a 47-year-old female owner and a 25-year-old employee with a knife before stealing cash and fleeing on foot. Police officers located the man nearby shortly after the incident, finding a knife and the stolen money in his possession. He admitted to the robbery during questioning and remains in custody. In a separate case in Larnaca, a 20-year-old was arrested for a robbery that took place on July 10, 2025, at the Finikoudes beach. Two 52-year-old men were approached by a group of youths who forcibly took a bag containing a mobile phone, identification, bank cards, and cash. The Larnaca CID is continuing the investigation into the 2025 incident.
