Twenty-year-old arrested for robbery in Larnaca

Police in Larnaca arrested a 20-year-old man today in connection with a robbery that occurred on July 10, 2025. The incident took place around 2:00 a.m. at the Finikoudes beach. Two 52-year-old men were approached by a group of young individuals who forcibly stole a personal bag from one of the victims. The stolen bag contained a mobile phone, an identity card, bank cards, and an undisclosed amount of cash. Authorities issued a judicial arrest warrant after evidence linked the 20-year-old suspect to the crime. He was located and taken into custody at approximately 4:00 p.m. today. The case is currently under investigation by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (TAE).
