Third annual Sakura spring festival to be held in Kampos

The Kampos Community Council, in collaboration with the Japanese Embassy in Cyprus, is organizing the 'Spring Veil in Kampos' event for the third consecutive year. The festival will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sakura Park in Kampos. The event celebrates the blooming of Japanese Sakura cherry blossoms and aims to integrate Japanese cultural elements into the local Cypriot landscape. This year's program features expanded cultural activities and opportunities for public recreation among the trees. The event is officially under the auspices of the Cypriot Minister of Interior, Constantinos Ioannou. Admission to the festival is free for the general public. Organizers expect visitors from across the island to attend the event, which has become an established local spring tradition. The initiative highlights the natural beauty of the area and promotes cultural exchange.
