IMR study analyzes market share of online property platforms in Cyprus

A research study conducted by IMR and the University of Nicosia between March 9 and March 13, 2026, analyzed the online real estate market in Cyprus. The study focused on active property-for-sale listings across all five districts of the country. Researchers compared data from three major platforms: BuySell, Bazaraki, and Facebook Marketplace. The categories evaluated included apartments, houses, land and plots, and commercial properties. The analysis used a five-day daily average to ensure statistical reliability. According to the findings, the platform BuySell holds the largest market share, accounting for 71% to 82% of active listings. This report follows previous studies published in September 2025 regarding the structure of the Cypriot real estate market. The study concludes that online platforms continue to significantly influence traditional real estate search and sales behavior in Cyprus.
