Ayia Napa mayor visits National Guard installations for Easter
On Holy Wednesday, the mayor of Ayia Napa, Christos Zannetou, conducted visits to various National Guard army camps and guard posts in the region. The visit was conducted in anticipation of the upcoming Easter holidays. Zannetou was accompanied by the commander of the 7th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Andreas Kelepeshis. The delegation also included local government representatives from Liopetri, Achna, and Avgorou, specifically Markos Koumis, Nikos Vasilas, and Panagis Michaelas. During the event, the mayor exchanged holiday wishes with conscripts and officers. The participants discussed the service duties of the personnel. The official statement highlighted the ceremonial nature of the visit, noting that the mayor expressed gratitude for the soldiers' dedication.
