Cyprus ethics committee launches anonymous reporting platform for sports
The Cyprus Ethics and Sports Protection Commission has officially launched an anonymous reporting platform aimed at tackling corruption and match-fixing within the national sports sector. The platform was presented during a press conference held in Nicosia, attended by the committee chairman, Stefanos Skordis. The primary objective of this initiative is to encourage individuals with knowledge of illicit activities to report them without the fear of retaliation or social consequences. By facilitating secure, anonymous submissions, the commission hopes to uncover irregularities that have historically gone unreported due to concerns over personal safety. This tool represents a new institutional effort to enhance transparency and security across all sporting disciplines in Cyprus. The commission emphasizes that this digital infrastructure is a critical step in addressing systemic issues and holding perpetrators of sports fraud accountable.
