Omonia and APOEL sign youth players to contract extensions

Omonia Nicosia has signed its first professional contract with 18-year-old midfielder Konstantinos Panagi, extending his stay until 2028. Panagi has been training with the senior team since last summer and has recorded 22 appearances and five goals for the U19 squad this season. Simultaneously, APOEL announced a contract extension with 21-year-old forward Stavros Georgiou until May 2029. Georgiou, who was born on October 19, 2004, is currently playing on loan at Omonia Aradippou. He is a product of the APOEL Academy, having played through all youth levels since age 14. APOEL President confirmed the move as part of the club's strategy to invest in home-grown talent. The extensions reflect ongoing efforts by both clubs to secure the long-term future of their academy prospects.
