Holy Light to arrive in Cyprus via special Aegean flight

The Holy Light is scheduled to arrive in Cyprus on Holy Saturday afternoon via a special Aegean Airlines flight from Tel Aviv. The aircraft is expected to land at Larnaca International Airport around 16:55 or 17:00, following the ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Three priests will escort the light, which will then be distributed across all districts of Cyprus for the Easter Vigil. Due to regional security concerns, the aircraft will park at the old Larnaca airport section. The government will be represented by Minister of Justice and Public Order Constantinos Fytiris, with military honors including a red carpet and the National Guard band. The arrival was coordinated through cooperation between the Cypriot and Greek foreign ministries. The light will also be flown from Cyprus to Lebanon to support Christian communities there. Israeli authorities confirmed the ceremony in Jerusalem would proceed normally after recent security assessments regarding regional missile activity.
