Death of Olympiakos Nicosia football player Kostakis Pieridis at age 85

Former Olympiakos Nicosia striker Kostakis Pieridis has passed away at the age of 85. He was a key figure during the club's successful period, contributing to the championship titles won in 1967, 1969, and 1971. In addition to these team achievements, Pieridis was the top scorer of the national championship during the 1964–65 season. The club released an official statement expressing condolences to his family and associates. The funeral service is scheduled for tomorrow at the Agios Panteleimonas church in Makedonitissa. Condolences will be accepted starting at 10:30, and the service will commence at 11:00. The burial will take place at the Pallouriotissa cemetery.
