Community initiatives and charity events ahead of Easter

In Nicosia, the company Aphrostrom donated bedding and linens worth 40,000 euros to the Aglantzia Elderly Home on April 7, with Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos and other municipal officials in attendance. The donation is intended as the start of a long-term support program for the residents. Separately, the Limassol Municipality Social Grocery distributed Easter packages to beneficiaries on Holy Tuesday. While one report stated 350 packages were distributed, another official report mentioned 35. In another initiative, the Bank of Cyprus hosted a two-day event titled 'Small Creations, Great Contribution' at the Nicosia Mall on April 4 and 5. This event, involving staff volunteers and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cyprus, raised over 10,000 euros for the Anti-Cancer Society of Cyprus as part of the Christodoula March campaign.
