Charitable initiatives and social support programs ahead of Easter in Cyprus

Across Cyprus, various organizations and local authorities are conducting charitable activities ahead of the Easter holiday. On April 7, the company Aphrostrom donated mattresses and bedding valued at €40,000 to the Aglantzia Elderly Home, supported by Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Proutzos. The Limassol Social Grocery distributed approximately 350 packages to vulnerable families on Holy Tuesday, while the local branch of EKYSY in Kaimakli provided aid to over 70 families, continuing a 21-year tradition. The Larnaca Social Grocery is scheduled to hold its food distribution on April 9, supported by various donors including HFM. Additionally, the delivery service Wolt provided 50 care packages to the Cyprus Red Cross. Meanwhile, the Bank of Cyprus raised over €10,000 for the Anti-Cancer Society of Cyprus through a two-day event titled "Small Creations, Big Contribution" held at the Nicosia Mall on April 4 and 5. This event featured volunteer efforts, music from the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, and fundraising activities to support the Porcia Christodoulas campaign.
