Cypriot film Hold onto me to premiere at Cyprus Film Days

The film Hold onto me, directed by Cypriot filmmaker Myrsini Aristidou, is scheduled for its official Cyprus premiere this April. The production will be showcased during the 24th Cyprus Film Days International Film Festival at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol on April 17 and at the Zena Palace in Nicosia on April 19. The movie previously held its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition. Filmed in Cyprus, the plot follows 11-year-old Iris who attempts to reconnect with her estranged father, Aris, following his return to town for a funeral. The narrative explores their developing relationship after she tracks him down to a shipyard. Following its Sundance success, the film continues its international festival circuit with positive critical reception.
