Two-day cultural event held at The Heritage Private School

The Heritage Private School hosted a two-day cultural event on March 26 and March 30, 2026, organized by the Greek Department. The initiative was coordinated by Dr. Margarita Papantoni and Dr. Marina Tymviou with the support of department head Eirini Loizidou. On the first day, cartoonist Sotos Voskarides held a workshop teaching students the techniques of satire and caricature. The second day featured a presentation by a research team from the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth's Scientific Research Centre, including Dr. Maria Matthaiou, Rebecca Nicolaidou Pieri, and Argyro Xenofontos. This session explored Cypriot folk tales and their connections to Greek tradition and European storytelling. Students engaged in practical activities, including the composition of traditional 'tsiattista' verses, musical creation, visual arts, and drama. The project aimed to highlight the importance of the Greek language and cultural heritage.
