European commission opens applications for the 10th Youth4Regions program
The European Commission has announced the opening of applications for the 10th edition of the Youth4Regions program, which supports aspiring journalists. Candidates can apply through the official website until July 7. Eligible applicants include students and young journalists from EU member states, neighboring countries, and candidate nations. The program accepts entries in four categories: print, video, audio journalism, and photojournalism. Selected participants will attend workshops in Brussels from October 10 to 16, gaining access to EU institutions and media organizations. Since its inception in 2017, the program has supported 300 young reporters. Additionally, participants are eligible for the Megalizzi-Niedzielski prize, to be awarded on October 14, 2026. Winners will serve as Cohesion Correspondents in 2027, conducting two weeks of field reporting on EU cohesion policy projects.
