FIFA opens disciplinary proceedings against RFEF over racist chants

In response to the incident, Spanish police launched an official investigation last week. Spain winger Lamine Yamal publicly condemned the chants, labeling them disrespectful and intolerable. The Egyptian Football Association also denounced the behavior as a repugnant act of racism, though they emphasized that the actions of a small group will not damage the diplomatic ties between the two national federations.
