Results from the Famagusta Cup and Paphos Cup shooting tournaments

The Famagusta Sporting Cup took place on April 5 at the International Shooting Range in Armenochori, Limassol. Konstantinos Konstantinou won first place with 91/100, followed by Lefkios Miltiadous in second and Iasonas Tziovanis in third, after a shoot-off. In the B category, Christos Ioannou placed first, while Andreas Michail won the C category and Pantelis Pantelidis won the Seniors category. Separately, the Paphos Trap Cup was held at the Lakis Psymolofitis Olympic Shooting Range in Latsia. Nihat Akterzi secured first place in the general classification after a shoot-off against Georgia Konstantinidou, with both scoring 26/30 in the final. Konstantinidou set a new Cypriot record with her score, which also surpassed the current women's world record of 24/30. Akterzi’s performance was also recognized as a Cypriot record for men under the new International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) rules. An unnamed junior shooter rounded out the top three in the Paphos Cup general classification.
