Court proceedings continue in the case of the 2019 death of 14-year-old Stylianos

The Nicosia District Court continues to hear testimony regarding the 2019 death of 14-year-old Stylianos Konstantinou. Criminal investigator Andreas Andreou, appointed on January 10, 2020, by former Attorney General Costas Clerides, presented evidence collected during the investigation. The teenager was found deceased by his father on September 4, 2019, at a farm in Kotsiatis. Evidence was gathered from the Ministry of Education, Social Welfare Services, and the police, as well as various professionals. Testimony revealed that the family faced significant financial and social difficulties. The living conditions were described as unsuitable, noting the need for repairs, interior clutter, and roof leaks in children's bedrooms. Reports also indicated a history of aggression and self-harm dating back to the boy's preschool years. The investigation aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding the minor's death.
