UK government denies entry to Kanye West

The UK Home Office has formally rejected Kanye West's application for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), effectively banning the rapper from entering the country. The decision was based on the grounds that his presence would not be conducive to the public good. This move follows significant controversy regarding his scheduled headline performance at the London Wireless Festival. West, who now goes by the name Ye, has faced widespread condemnation for a series of antisemitic and pro-Nazi statements made over recent years. Prior to the government's decision, West expressed a willingness to meet with representatives of the British Jewish community to demonstrate change. The Board of Deputies of British Jews stated they would only consider such a meeting on the condition that West withdraws from his performance at the festival. The festival organizers have not yet issued a public response regarding the government's intervention.
