He shared that even his mother was initially unaware of his casting. Following the announcement, he described his mother's reaction to watching the film as an emotional and strange experience. Jaafar admitted that his first viewing of the film felt short and left him focused on unused footage, while a second viewing allowed him to appreciate the narrative. He highlighted that the film showcased aspects of his personality previously unseen by his mother. Meanwhile, his father, Jermaine Jackson, has yet to view the finished production.
