Dimitris Papadakis submits forensic report to police following election ticket removal

On Tuesday, April 30, Dimitris Papadakis visited the Nicosia CID headquarters to hand over a forensic report regarding his electronic devices. The forensic investigation reportedly found no incriminating evidence against him. This follows the decision by the executive secretariat of the political party Almas on Monday night to remove Papadakis from its electoral ticket. The move is linked to allegations involving Makarios Drousiotis, who accused various individuals in public posts, including references to a person nicknamed 'Santi'. Previously, Papadakis had filed a criminal complaint against Drousiotis for spreading false news under Article 50 of the Penal Code. Meanwhile, Drousiotis is also expected to visit the police headquarters to submit a file containing numerous pieces of evidence. Papadakis has scheduled a press conference for Holy Wednesday to discuss the forensic findings.
