Ilias Charalampous linked to Super League coaching roles

Cypriot coach Ilias Charalampous is reportedly being considered by two Greek clubs for upcoming managerial positions. According to media reports, one interested party is a member of the Greek 'Big 4', while the second club is currently competing in the 5-8 position playoffs of the Super League. Charalampous, 45, recently resigned from his post at Steaua Bucharest following a 3-1 home defeat to Universitatea Cluj. His tenure at the Romanian club began on March 30, 2023, and included two consecutive league titles and two Super Cup victories. During his time in Romania, he led the team to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League last season after defeating PAOK in the playoffs. However, his tenure ended after a decline in performance during the current season, leaving the club in 7th place. The transition follows his official departure from Steaua approximately one month ago.
