Limassol to host the 7th annual Fetisov journalism awards

The 7th annual Fetisov Journalism Awards will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Parklane Resort and Spa in Limassol, Cyprus. The event will begin at 18:30 in the presence of state officials, international journalists, and media executives. A total of 12 winners across four categories—Investigative Journalism, Human Rights, Peace Journalism, and Environmental Journalism—have been selected from approximately 500 entries representing 80 countries. These winners will share a prize fund exceeding €560,000. Prior to the awards ceremony, a high-level international meeting will be held to discuss current trends and challenges in the global media landscape. While the winners' identities remain confidential until the ceremony, the event is set to honor journalism from prominent global outlets. This gathering aims to address the professional obstacles faced by independent media amidst current political, social, and economic volatility.
