Cypriot gymnast Marios Georgiou secured the silver medal in the horizontal bar final at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. Georgiou achieved a score of 13.900 on Monday, April 6, 2026. The gold medal was awarded to Li Hongyan from China with a score of 14.400, while Karl Eldrew Yulo from the Philippines took bronze with 13.733. This result marks Georgiou's first medal of 2026 and follows his silver medal performance at the same event in 2025. The Cypriot delegation, which included athlete Kyriakos Neophytou along with coaches and support staff, is scheduled to return to Cyprus on Tuesday.
