Forty-one-year-old man arrested for Deryneia bombing

On April 2, 2026, a bomb explosion occurred at 1:30 a.m. outside the residence of a 49-year-old man in Deryneia, located in the Famagusta district. The blast caused damage to the property's garage door. Following an investigation into the attempted destruction of property with explosives, police arrested a 41-year-old male suspect. The suspect was brought before the Famagusta District Court. The court issued an order for his detention for a period of four days. The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) is currently conducting further examinations into the incident.
