The Cyprus national men's futsal team has begun preparations for the 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup preliminary round in Albania. Under coach Athos Stylianou, the team trained at the Tasos Papadopoulos-Eleftheria stadium before their scheduled departure on Tuesday. The tournament will take place in Tirana, with Cyprus competing against Albania, Latvia, and San Marino. The top two teams in the group will secure a spot in the Main Round. Matches are scheduled for April 9, 10, and 12, starting with a game against Albania. Due to an injury, Paris Psylogenis has been replaced by Marios Christoforou in the final squad. The roster includes 14 players selected from AEK Larnaca, AEL Limassol, APOEL Nicosia, Apollon Limassol, and Omonia Nicosia.
