The Limassol District Self-Government Organization (EOA) is continuing the project to replace conventional water meters with smart meters, carried out by the contractor New Cytech Business Solutions. The EOA has issued a public advisory regarding the identification of authorized personnel to prevent potential impersonation incidents. Technicians are required to wear vests marked with the company logo, display corporate identification, and carry an official authorization document from the EOA that can be presented upon request. It is strictly clarified that these crews have access only to the external water meter location and are not authorized to enter private residences or perform any indoor work. Residents are encouraged to verify the identity of anyone claiming to be a technician.
