Russia reports mass Ukrainian drone strikes and recovery efforts
On Sunday, Russian authorities reported the interception of 148 Ukrainian drones over central and southern regions during a three-hour period. A civil defense volunteer was killed in the Belgorod border region following a drone strike. In the port city of Novorossiysk, Mayor Andrei Kravchenko reported that drone debris struck multi-storey buildings, resulting in unspecified casualties. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported four air raids and seven intercepted drones in Crimea. Simultaneously, Russian-installed officials in the Donetsk region stated that power was restored to Donetsk and Makiivka after energy infrastructure was targeted. Repair crews also worked to restore electricity across the Zaporizhzhia region following extensive outages. Russian officials noted that national energy crews were working to restore power to approximately 500,000 households affected by recent strikes.
