Cyprus film days international festival to hold 24th edition in April

The 24th Cyprus Film Days International Festival is scheduled to take place from April 17 to April 25. The event will be hosted at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol and the Zena Cinema in Nicosia. Artistic directors Argyro Nicolaou and Petros Charalambous have curated a program focusing on contemporary independent cinema, social issues, and personal narratives. The festival features the Glocal Images international competition, showcasing films from various cultural backgrounds that address identity and social transformation. Highlighted films include the French drama 'Nino' by Pauline Loquès and the historical drama 'Beautiful Evening, Beautiful Day' by Ivona Juka. The organizers stated that the festival aims to provide a space for creative dialogue and human connection amidst current global uncertainties. The selection includes works that have appeared at other major international film festivals. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with international filmmakers throughout the duration of the event.
