Series of drone and projectile attacks reported in the United Arab Emirates
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates reported multiple incidents involving drones and projectiles over the last two days. In the Musaffah industrial zone of Abu Dhabi, a Ghanaian national sustained injuries after debris fell following the interception of a drone. Separately, authorities in Fujairah responded to an incident where a drone allegedly targeted a building belonging to the telecommunications company du, though no injuries were reported there. On Sunday, an attack at the Khor Fakkan port near the Strait of Hormuz resulted in injuries to four individuals, including a Nepalese national who remains in serious condition and three Pakistani nationals. The incident at the port also caused a fire which has since been brought under control. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that unidentified projectiles fell near a container ship at the port during the attack. While some reports attribute these actions to Iran, authorities have not officially confirmed the origin of all projectiles. The UAE government has stated that the country has been targeted by multiple missile and drone strikes recently.
