Cyprus economic performance data for 2025

The Cyprus Statistical Service reported that the construction production index rose by 9 percent in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 135.02 units. Construction output prices also increased by 3.0 percent year-on-year for the final quarter and by 4.1 percent for the full year of 2025. Data from the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEV) indicated growth across several service sectors, including accommodation and food services at 9.5 percent and administrative support at 7.4 percent. Professional, scientific, and technical activities grew by 4.6 percent, while information and communication, transport, and real estate management rose by 4.3, 2.8, and 0.4 percent respectively. Tourism reached record highs in 2025, with 4,534,073 total arrivals, marking a 12.2 percent annual increase. December 2025 saw 156,959 tourist arrivals, representing an 18 percent rise compared to December 2024. These figures, presented at the OEV annual general meeting on April 28, 2026, highlight the services sector's role in the national economy.
