Fatal balcony collapse in Corinth

On Saturday, April 4, a balcony collapsed in the Kalamia area of Corinth on Pigasou Street, resulting in the death of a woman. The woman was visiting from Germany with her family for the Easter holidays. Two of her children sustained minor injuries during the incident. Emergency response teams from the Fire Department and EKAB ambulance service arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The woman was trapped under the debris of construction materials and concrete. Witnesses reported that the woman had three children present, though accounts vary on the exact number and identity of the injured children. Authorities are investigating the structural failure that caused the collapse.
