Limassol municipality to host Easter event with temporary street closures

The Municipality of Limassol is organizing an Easter event on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Anexartisias Street will be converted into a pedestrian zone from 11:00 to 20:00 to accommodate the festivities. The program includes a magic show at 11:00, traditional dances at 12:00, and saxophone performances at 12:30 and 12:45. Additionally, the municipal train will operate from 11:00-13:00 and 15:00-18:00, while the municipal art workshop will host children's activities from 10:30-15:00. Mascots will be available for photos on Anexartisias and Agiou Andreou streets from 12:00 to 14:00, and Mayor Yiannis Armeftis is scheduled to attend at 12:00. Due to the event, traffic regulations include temporary one-way street directions on sections of Anexartisias and a full closure between Vragadinou and Christodoulou Chatzipavlou streets. Local authorities have announced these measures to ensure the safety and success of the public celebration.
