Middle school teacher arrested for alleged drug supply to students in Kallithea
A 34-year-old teacher at a middle school in Kallithea, Athens, was arrested following a police patrol check by the DIAS unit. Officers discovered the teacher in a local park with a student and found cannabis products, including hashish, in her possession. The investigation began after reports emerged in January concerning drug activity at the school. On January 27, the school principal reported to authorities that a parent had previously informed her about students attempting to sell drugs to peers on January 13. While some students allege that the teacher provided them with cigarettes and drugs, the student arrested alongside her denies these claims. The school administration had been aware of potential substance trafficking since the beginning of the year. The investigation into the extent of the teacher's involvement and the distribution of illicit substances is ongoing.
